Michelle Velazquez, B.A.
Graduate Student, Experimental Psychology [email protected] Michelle has been a part of the META lab since Fall 2020. She was born and raised in Modesto, California, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Stanislaus in psychology. There, she worked as a research assistant testing older adults using neuropsychological assessment batteries. It’s also where she developed a fascination with cognitive aging and dementia, particularly Alzheimer’s disease. She's currently interested in investigating predictive factors of dementia or factors that may help slow down the progression of cognitive decline associated with dementia. |
Alicyn Ager, B.S.
Graduate Student, Experimental Psychology [email protected] Alicyn has been a part of the META Lab since Fall 2021. She grew up in San Diego, California and then moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. Alicyn has always loved observing human behavior and became deeply curious about how people understand their own motivations, leading her to major in psychology. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Colorado State University in 2019. While earning her undergraduate degree, she became very interested in research and had research opportunities spanning a variety of topics such as meaning in life, mindfulness, and resilience. Alicyn's research interests include metacognition and moral reasoning. She wants to investigate how people perceive their own attitudes, beliefs, values, and personalities, and if these perceptions are accurate. |
Danika Craig
Undergraduate Student, Double Major in Psychology & Biology Danika Craig has been a part of the META lab since Fall 2021. She grew up in Boise, Idaho and is working on earning her B.S. in Health Sciences. In her first year at Idaho State, she took particular interest in research, psychology, and the healthcare field. |
Emma Austin
Undergraduate Student, Double Major in Psychology & Sociology Emma Austin has been a part of the META lab since Spring 2023. She grew up in New Plymouth, Idaho and is graduating this fall with her B.S. in psychology and B.A. in sociology. In her free time you can find her backpacking in the mountains or reading a book while drinking hot chocolate. She hopes to pursue a doctorate in clinical psychology. |
